BODY WORN CAMERA: THE NEW MOST FLEXIBLE AXIS SOLUTION IN THE WORLD
Axis Communications, a leading company in the development of video surveillance technologies, has announced the launch of its first body camera designed for law enforcement and private security companies.
The solution can be used with third party VMS and EMS software and can be marketed as a complete solution using Axis Camera Station and Axis Case Insight.
CORPORATE CAMERA COMPONENTS
The Body Worn Camera has three main hardware components:
- the camera itself;
- the camera dock (with 1 or 8 connections);
- the system controller.
The camera:
- capture video up to 1080p at 30 fps and audio through two microphones to eliminate noise;
- uses Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology;
- it is equipped with Axis Zipstream;
Battery:
- it lasts 12 hours;
- it can be charged from the car or with an external battery.
The AXIS Body Worn Assistant mobile app allows users to review recordings and add categories, descriptions and notes.
The Axis solution will be available in the second quarter of 2020.
